The questions people actually ask us.

Fourteen questions, answered the way we would answer them on a call, including the one about money.

If yours is not here, email contact@keyresolutionsit.com and a person will answer it. We add the good ones to this page.

Money

Money.

How much does this cost?

We do not publish a price list because we do not sell a product. A five-page site for a landscaper and a booking system for a three-location clinic are not the same job. You get a real number on the first call, in writing, and never a bill for the call or the estimate.

Do you require a contract?

No long-term contract. Key Resolutions IT runs care plans and retainers month to month after the first ninety days, with no annual commitment, no cancellation fee, and no auto-renewal to remember to stop. A Project is scoped and priced in writing before it starts, but that is a one-time agreement for defined work, not a standing contract you have to break to leave.

What happens when something breaks?

You contact us, and the people who answer are the people who built it. Nothing here is subcontracted, so there is no ticket queue, no handoff to a vendor you have never met, and no argument about whose fault it is. That is the whole reason the website, the systems, and the search sit with one team.

Who owns the website when you are done?

You do, and you own it from day one rather than at handover. The website files, the domain, the hosting account, and every analytics account are in your name before launch.

I got burned by my last web person. Why is this different?

Because you can leave. You own every asset, you get a written scope before work starts, a monthly report in plain language, and retainers go month to month after ninety days. We re-earn the next month every month, and the day you decide to go, everything is already in your name.

Do I need to have a website already?

No. Scoping a first site is who we are built for, and the call covers what to build first and what not to build at all. If you already have a site we open it live instead. Load time on a real phone, the path from landing to a booking, search health, and what an AI assistant says about you. Then we tell you what we would change.

The work

The work.

Why not just use Wix or Squarespace?

Often you should, and we will say so. The line is speed, ownership, and connection. Those tools stop working when the site is slow enough to cost you rankings, when you cannot export what you built, or when it has to talk to your booking system.

How long does a new site take?

Most builds go live in four to eight weeks. Key Resolutions IT asks for about three and a half hours of your time across the whole project: a 60-minute kickoff, a 90-minute on-site content and photography session, and two roughly 30-minute review rounds. The decision that reliably adds three weeks is choosing late to write your own copy, so decide that in week zero.

Do you write the copy for the site?

Yes. Key Resolutions IT writes the first draft of every page and takes the photographs, both gathered in one 90-minute on-site session where shooting and interviewing happen at the same time. You can write your own copy instead if you prefer, but that is the one decision that reliably adds three weeks to a project, so decide it in week zero rather than week four.

What happens after the site launches?

Key Resolutions IT watches the site for 30 days at no charge and sends a written report on Core Web Vitals and rankings at the end of it. After that you choose: a Care Plan covering managed hosting, security updates, uptime monitoring, quarterly-tested backups, and a fixed monthly allotment of edits with a one-page report every month, or nothing at all, since the documentation is written for a developer who is not us.

Do you take a cut of my store's sales?

No. Key Resolutions IT does not take a percentage of revenue or a commission on sales. Store work is priced as a fixed-scope Project for the build itself, or a fixed monthly Care Plan or Partner retainer for ongoing work, agreed in writing before anything starts. What you sell and what you keep is between you and your payment processor, not a number tied to our invoice.

How is AI visibility measured?

Key Resolutions IT baselines AI visibility in week one: an audit run across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Gemini against a defined set of prompts a real customer might ask. Movement is then tracked monthly, the same way rankings are, in a plain-language report on what moved and what did not. The same entity, schema, and content work improves AI citability and classic rankings alike.

What can actually be automated in my business?

Workflow automation built in n8n, Make, or Zapier, CRM setup and integration matched to your actual sales process, custom internal tools and client portals, and data or systems migrations between platforms like point of sale, property management, or accounting software. Key Resolutions IT maps your highest-cost manual workflows first and puts hours against each one, so you know whether automating it is worth doing before anything gets built.

What does onboarding look like?

Two free steps happen before you spend anything: a twenty minute call with the people who would do the work, then a written estimate with one firm number within two business days. If you move forward, week zero is a single 60-minute kickoff call and a signed scope, and Key Resolutions IT sets up the repository, domain, hosting account, and analytics in your name that same week, not at handover.

Still have a question?
